As part of the Durham Jazz Festival 2026, step into the joy of swing dance.
Your hosts, Andy and Joo-Lee, have been at the heart of the North East swing dance scene since 2007. Known for helping people, even those who say they have “two left feet”, discover the fun and freedom of social dancing, they bring a warm, welcoming approach that makes everyone feel at ease.
They run popular weekly Lindy Hop classes in Durham for both new and experienced dancers.
At Durham Jazz Festival, they will put on a friendly taster lesson to get you grooving, then DJ Andy will keep the swing tunes flowing for relaxed social dancing.
No experience is needed, no partner is required, just comfy shoes and an open heart. Whether you’re a jazz lover or simply curious, come along and join the fun.
