ReWired is the new acoustic trio project from acclaimed composer, pianist, and Parliamentary Jazz Musician of the Year nominee Janette Mason brings her new acoustic trio project to the festival, masterfully bridging the gap between the sophisticated depth of jazz and the direct, irresistible appeal of pop. Known for her stellar career collaborating with legendary artists like Oasis, Pulp, and k.d. lang, Mason leads her trio through a stunning, genre-defying musical transformation.
The performance “re-wires” an incredible curation of timeless classics and modern chart favorites. Daringly reimagined interpretations of iconic tracks from artists including: David Bowie, Kate Bush, Gary Numan, The Beatles, Olivia Rodrigo and more!
“The ReWired project is a true coming-together of kindred spirits, musically and in heart, mind and soul. The extraordinary rapport between the musicians was at its most palpable during Lana Del Ray’s ‘Video Games’…sublime bass lines fused with percussion to add rich tonal colouring to Janette’s dream-like inventions at the keyboard. Perfect!” Trevor Bannister
Jakub Cywinski – Bass
Eric Ford – Drums
