Durham University Jazz Society Jazz Jam
Durham University Jazz Society will play its weekly Jazz Jam at Fabio’s Bar – as part of Durham Jazz Festival.
It’ll be an evening of great music, for free, by Durham’s best student musicians – and everyone is invited to watch as well as play.
Guests can expect all the classic ‘Real Book’ standards, as well as a few new tunes from Durham University Jazz Society’s online library, to be enjoyed alongside a refreshing cocktail. Remember to bring your instrument if you wish to play, or if not, your best jazz appreciation face.
Over the academic year, the Jazz Society puts on a variety of gigs in venues across the city, including The Holy Grale and Durham University Music Department.
The Jazz Society aims to widen the musical horizons of listening students, with the works of the Ezra Collective, Tom Misch, Yussef Dayes, and many others.
